About Us

About Austin Reed
Austin has always had an interest in jewelry and began his career by working on jewelry repairs at a small shop in Pittsburgh, PA at the age of 16. He completed his high school studies early each day in order to work in the shop and learn the business from the ground up. In his early 20's, Austin spent valuable time with a close friend who was a diamond dealer in New York City. She took him under her wing and began teaching him all aspects of the diamond business. Reed then attended and graduated from the American School of Jewelry in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He attained all certifications necessary to begin his custom jewelry business. When he returned from Florida to his home in Atlanta, GA, Austin arranged an apprenticeship with a local jeweler from South Africa, where he was able to further learn and actually work in his chosen trade. This very talented and successful businessman has designed and made his own style of jewelry for the past 37 years and continues to be a teacher and mentor to Austin on a daily basis.
